The Himalayan Chetna committed to social welfare and educating the people, especially, the women and disadvantaged group of the society. This year marked a period of implementation of various projects by way of collaborative endeavors and involvement of NABARD’s officials, NGO’s Officials, Panchayat Raj Institution’s officials, members of Self-Help Groups, etc. The Himalayan Chetna recognize the crucial role of skill development programmes in enhancing the skill of the people.

This is not only essential for inducing or enhancing the skill but it also helps them to use their skill in setting and running an economic activity.On one front, we dedicated efforts to empower women by way of initiating various kinds of training programmes.

Simultaneously, we gave our attention towards awareness, environment protection, education and health, legal aid, etc.I feel joy to share that duwring this year we have created 35 Joint Liability Groups (JLG) and attached them with the bank. More than 200 women from different self-help groups have also been trained under different Programmes of NABARD, such as, MEDP and LEDP. About 20 awareness camps have also been organized at different locations of Hamirpur district.
